My sister-in-law brought this creamy avocado yogurt dip to a party and literally everyone asked for the recipe. This was months ago and I still remember this dip. It is so creamy and surprisingly healthy. The Greek yogurt gives you probiotics, protein, and calcium, the lime juice has much needed vitamin C, the cilantro and Margarita Himalayan with zest of lime salt cleanse the body, and the avocado is a good source of fat, fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B6, potassium, and folate.
Since everyone keeps asking for good food to serve at their Superbowl party, I decided to post this recipe. I have to confess I bought the ingredients today but have not made it yet. I want to make a fresh one on Sunday.
If you are looking for more ideas for your Superbowl party, here are a few very good and easy ones: Baked Brie, Artichoke dip, Hot Artichoke Crab dip, Pesto, Vegetable Platter with Dill Sauce, Guacamole, Crescent Wrapped Hot Dogs or Pepperoni rolls. A pot of Colorado Chili is also a huge hit.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
Directions
1. Place the yogurt, avocados, garlic, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and cumin in a blender or food processor. Mix until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. (Note: if kids are eating this, you may want to omit the jalapeño.)
2. Scrape dip into a serving bowl and serve with pita chips, tortilla chips, or cut up veggies.
